A four-year-old girl has died following a fall from a tower block in London.

Emergency services responded to the incident on St Paul’s Road, Barking at approximately 11am on Saturday, after receiving reports of a child falling from height.

The youngster received treatment from paramedics at the scene before being transported to hospital.

She subsequently died from her injuries.

London’s air ambulance was amongst the emergency resources deployed to the incident.

The Metropolitan Police have stated the incident is not believed to be suspicious at this time.

Scotland Yard expressed condolences to the family, stating: “Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the child’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.”

Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

However, authorities have confirmed the incident is not being treated as suspicious.

The force has appealed for witnesses to come forward.

“We urge anyone with information about the incident to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 2424/24OCT,” a spokesman added.

Police attended alongside ambulance crews, with emergency first aid administered at the address.

The London Ambulance Service confirmed the service received the emergency call at 11.05am yesterday.

Multiple resources were dispatched to St Paul’s Road.

These included ambulance crews, a clinical team manager, an incident response officer and an advanced paramedic practitioner, alongside London’s air ambulance.

“We treated a child at the scene before taking the patient to a London major trauma centre,” it said in a statement.
