Ellie Costello has delighted fans after bringing her beloved miniature dachshund puppy, Monty, into the GB News newsroom for a special visit.
The People’s Channel presenter shared a series of heartwarming photographs on Instagram on Friday, showing the cream long-haired dachshund being fussed over by colleagues as he enjoyed a day behind the scenes at the office.
Alongside the images, Ellie wrote: “Monty’s visit to the newsroom for a Friday treat!”
The collection of photographs showed Ellie smiling as she cradled the tiny pup inside the newsroom, while other members of the GB News team also took turns cuddling the four-legged visitor.

Monty appeared perfectly at home among the presenters and production staff, quickly becoming the centre of attention during his visit.
Fans were equally charmed by the adorable scenes, with many rushing to the comments section to share their reactions.

Monty has become something of a social media star since Ellie welcomed him into her family in March this year.
The presenter, who proudly describes herself as a “Dog Mum”, regularly documents the miniature dachshund’s adventures on his own Instagram account, @theminimonty, where followers have watched him accompany Ellie on countryside walks, black-tie events and days out across the UK.
Monty’s visit to the GB News newsroom is just the latest highlight in what has already been a memorable year for Ellie.
Away from the Breakfast sofa, the presenter has celebrated several major personal milestones during 2026.
Earlier this year, the GB News Breakfast presenter and her husband Gerard Durkan enjoyed their long-awaited honeymoon, embarking on a multi-stop getaway that included a safari in Kenya, a luxury stopover in Dubai and a relaxing beach break in the Maldives.
