Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United, £10.4m – Nottingham Forest (h)

Chasing the outright Premier League assists record, Fernandes is not a player worth dropping for the final day.

He’s guaranteed to start, while so many other big-money assets could be rested.

Crysencio Summerville, West Ham, £5.4m – Leeds (h)

The Dutchman hasn’t scored in six games but he has explosive potential, as shown by his run of four goals in four games earlier in the season.

He’s the ideal final-day punt if you have a midfield spot, with the Hammers chasing a win to give them a chance of staying up.

Cole Palmer, Chelsea, £10.3m – Sunderland (a)

Another player who has done little for weeks but if you are talking about final-day gambles who are capable of getting you 20 points, Palmer tops the bill.

Remember his hat-trick earlier in the season at Wolves?

Chelsea are also chasing Europe, which means they will play at full pelt.

And, if you like your underlying stats, over the past six gameweeks – Palmer only played in five – his xG is 1.75, which is nearly a goal better than any other Chelsea player.

Even taking off the 0.75 for a missed penalty, he still tops the charts and has had 16 shots too, four more than any Chelsea player.

He is due and will be playing with fire after his England snub.

Dominik Szoboszlai, Liverpool, £7.1m – Brentford (h)

This game could end up being a high-scoring one.

Brentford need a win to secure a European spot, Liverpool are looking over their shoulders and need a result to completely guarantee a Champions League spot.

Szoboszlai has been Liverpool’s best midfielder this season and has five returns in his past five games.
