Firefighters have tackled a large blaze at a warehouse in Manchester.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said it broke out just after midnight on Saturday at the commercial building in Broughton Street, Cheetham Hill.

A spokesperson said: “Firefighters arrived quickly and used two hose reel jets, one handheld jet and aerial appliance to bring the fire under control.”

Nearby residents were advised to keep their windows and doors closed. Smoke was still visible rising from the building at 05:30 BST.
