F1 drivers sharpen their skills at Milton Keynes karting track | UK News

A go-karting race track said it had welcomed “about 75%” of F1 drivers in the off-season so they could “sharpen their skills”.

Dan Prince, from Daytona Motorsport in Milton Keynes, said Isack Hadjar, Yuki Tsunoda and Alex Albon had all had a go.

He said it was due to the area being the “hub of British motorsport”, close to Silverstone in Northamptonshire.

He said the challenging circuit had about “12 technical corners, an uphill straight”, where drivers “can really hone their skills off-season”.

Last year Kimi Antonelli surprised visitors to the track by going incognito at a packed racing session.

He set the fastest lap of the session in the main race but did not win.
