Footage captured the extraordinary moment a man chased officers with a chainsaw.
The shocking incident which saw the man, dressed in a grey top and black trousers, running after an officer while wielding the large weapon.
The man is heard yelling while running down Glasgow Road in Paisley, Renfrewshire this afternoon.
In a second video, officers restrained an individual on a pavement with help from members of the public.
Police have arrested a 27-year-old man following the ‘disturbance involving a weapon’, which left two officers injured and requiring treatment from paramedics.

A statement from Police Scotland: ‘Around 1pm on Monday, 6 May, 2024, a disturbance involving a weapon occurred following a collision involving a car and a stationary police vehicle on Glasgow Road in Paisley.
‘There is no wider risk to the public and officers remain at the scene while enquires are ongoing.
‘Glasgow Road is closed between Buchlyvie Road and Allanton Avenue. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use an alternative route.’
