Clueless is the latest cult 90s movie to be turned into a musical and is coming to London’s West End next year.
MailOnline has been given an exclusive first look at KT Tunstall, 49, performing the title track Clueless from the stage show, one of the original songs the Scottish singer has written for the soundtrack.
KT, known for her hit singles Suddenly I see and Black Horse and The Cherry Tree, has previously admitted her new songs have a deliberate 90s vibe, channelling the music which appeared in the teen movie which included tracks by Radiohead, Coolio, Supergrass and the Beastie Boys.
She said: ‘I want you to feel like you’re at a gig with all of your favourite 90s artists playing in one show.
‘And not just have a theatre experience but a concert experience [as the band] jump from one genre to the next.’
Clueless put a 90s LA spin on Jane Austen’s Emma and became a cult classic.

Starring Alicia Silverstone as Cher Horowitz, the plot centres around her character – a rich, successful and popular Beverly Hills high school student who turns herself into a Matchmaker.
After coaxing two teachers into dating each other, she turns her attention to new student Tai, played by the late Brittany Murphy, who then goes on to displace Cher as the most popular girl in school.
The movie was written and directed by Amy Heckerling and has also spawned a book series, a three-season TV show and a glitzy broadway production.
On the new London stage show, Amy said: ‘I am so delighted to announce that Clueless is now a musical with all-new songs.
‘So if you loved the movie but didn’t understand why no one was singing, this is just for you.
‘And if you’re meeting the characters for the first time, that’s cool, they totally rock. Hope to see you there.’
Clueless, The Musical opens on February 15 next year at the Trafalgar Theatre and tickets can be purchased at CluelessOnStage.com.
The show is the latest cult teen flick to be turned into a stage show, following the success of Mean Girls and Heathers.

Featuring lyrics by Glenn Slater who wrote songs for the stage adaptations of The Little Mermaid, Sister Act and School of Rock, the production is being directed by Rachel Kavanaugh who said the original film was the best of the era’s teen romantic comedies and ‘full of heart and warmth where some of the others aren’t’.
On Heckerling’s influence as a trailblazing female writer-director in Hollywood, Rachel said ‘It’s such a privilege to have her writing the book for this musical’.
Rachel also revealed the costumes are currently being designed and Cher’s beloved yellow plaid would be present and correct among them.
The director said the designs would be ‘absolutely recognisable [from the film] but not a carbon copy. Also, they’re going to have to dance in these outfits.’
Kelly Devine (Come from Away) is the musical’s choreographer.
