Sports nutrition brand ESN is launching a brand-new protein powder today that promises to be its creamiest yet.
Designer® Protein Extra Creamy, on sale now, blends whey protein with casein to deliver a richer, smoother shake experience than traditional whey-only powders.
It’s a standalone addition to ESN’s existing protein lineup, which already includes popular ranges like Designer® Whey, Isoclear, Flexpresso and Protein Matcha.
The new range is aimed squarely at people who love protein but don’t want to sacrifice enjoyment in taste and texture.

Germany’s biggest sports nutrition brand achieves the extra creaminess by combining whey with casein, a milk protein that the body digests more slowly. This blend produces a noticeably thicker, smoother texture that feels more indulgent than a standard whey shake.
The brand has also deliberately dialled back the sweetness, letting the natural flavour notes come through more clearly.
On the nutrition side, each serving packs up to 24 grams of protein with no added sugars and caps out at just 116 calories. That’s based on 30 grams of powder mixed with 200ml of water.
The powder comes in a 480g pack containing 16 servings. You can mix it as a classic shake, stir it into porridge or breakfast bowls, or even whip up high-protein desserts and ice cream using a Ninja Creami.
Eight flavours are planned in total, though they’re rolling out in stages. Today’s launch brings Vanilla Milk, Dark Cookies & Cream and Hazelnut Nougat, with Milk Chocolate following shortly after.
Later this year, fans can expect Strawberry Cream, Cinnamon Cereal, Vanilla Speculoos and a limited-edition Ultra Dark Chocolate.
For now, the powder is available online, but ESN has plans to bring it into shops, such as drugstores, from early 2027.

To mark the launch, the brand is running its “Enter the Extra Creamy World” campaign, where customers can bag one of 100 Extra Creamy Boxes or one of 10 Ninja Creami machines through the campaign page.
Mike O’Leary, PhD and head of product at ESN, said: “Consumers don’t want to choose between performance and genuine enjoyment when it comes to protein.
“Taste, and especially texture, largely determines how much you enjoy drinking a protein product and whether you make it part of your routine in the long term.”
