Stockport County have signed defender Eoghan O’Connell on a two-year deal.

The 30-year-old, who played alongside Hatters boss Jim McNulty at Rochdale, was a free agent after turning down a new contract with Barnsley.

He joined the Tykes in January after leaving Wrexham and made 26 appearances in all competitions.

“Eoghan has proven himself to be a highly competent operator at this level with a consistent level of performance,” McNulty told the club’s website., external
