She had never even worn it – but Kate Moss’s mere association with a see-through dress meant it went for £2,200 at auction.
The Liza Bruce lame slip dress had been expected to fetch £300 at the Kerry Taylor Auctions sale in London last week.
But it is identical to the one Kate, now 50, infamously wore to a ‘Look of the Year’ party with a young Naomi Campbell in 1993.
The sheer dress made headlines but Kate said: ‘I didn’t know it was see-through until the pictures came out next day in the newspapers. The photographers’ flashes made it look naked.’

Mariella fears the family fog
She had the steel to become one of Britain’s most successful female broadcasters – but Mariella Frostrup, 61, is still plucking up the courage to be tested for dementia.
‘Both my mother and grandmother have, and had, dementia, so every time I get brain fog I think, ‘That’s it! They’re going to cart me off,’ says mother-of-two Mariella.
Adding: ‘Up until very recently there was nothing they could give you if they found out you had it – so why would you want to find out?’ But now I think there’s quite a good reason to have it checked, so I’m building up the courage.’

Natalie is Sky’s racy presenter
They say your bookshelf is a real giveaway as to your influences and interests in life – but maybe Formula One motor racing presenter Natalie Pinkham’s was a bit too revealing this week.
An illustrated copy of the Hindu sex manual the Kama Sutra was spotted on the shelf behind Natalie 46, right, during a Sky Sports chat from home.
An eagle-eyed fan called her out over it online. Responding to the tweet, a presumably blushing Natalie replied ‘Omg’ – alongside the crying with laughter emoji.

Help pug this gap
Writer William Cash hasn’t had much luck with dogs. When his milliner wife Lady Laura Cathcart’s prized pug was lost in a storm, he rushed out in the middle of night, pockets stuffed with cash, trying to buy an identical one.
Since then another one has died tragically and the couple have now lost their beloved pug Thistle, who passed away last week.
So the couple are seeking another one – and have very specific requirements.
‘We are desperately on the lookout for a small black female pug, preferably the runt of the litter,’ he tells me.

‘I need a lot of affection, skin-to-skin at bedtime,’ Ben revealed in an interview. His profile song Gimme Some Lovin says it all…

Betty’s such a model sister
Strictly Come Dancing contestant Daisy Lowe is set to have a new rival as a leading model – her sister Betty Goffey, 19.
Betty, in a lace dress from her fashion designer mother Pearl Lowe’s collection, aims to follow Daisy, 35, and be signed by a top modelling agency.
Pearl, 54, has debuted her first line in lingerie, including high-waisted knickers.
‘I prefer high-waisted knickers that hide a multitude of sins,’ former singer Pearl tells me.

Hail Jodie, print-cess of Hollywood
Jodie Foster already has two Oscars under her belt and now she has cemented her place in Tinseltown history – by leaving her footprints in concrete outside Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre.
The Taxi Driver star was relying on her photographer wife Alexandra Hedison’s goodwill to attend the cementing ceremony at the 15th annual TCM Classic Film Festival.

Jodie, pictured at the ceremony, said her family were ‘very blasé about it’ and ‘they don’t seem to be terribly interested’
It took place on the couple’s tenth wedding anniversary and Jodie, 61, thanked her for giving up their special day.
Alexandra might be a keen supporter of Jodie’s career, but her sons Charlie and Kit, shared with her ex Cydney Bernard, are apathetic about her stardom.
