Emily Carver has delighted fans once again after sharing a series of heartwarming family snaps from a weekend break in the Lake District with husband Patrick Christys and their baby son George.

The GB News favourite took to Instagram with the caption: “Weekend break in the lakes!” alongside a carousel of photos showing the trio enjoying the great outdoors.

In the images, Emily and Patrick can be seen hiking through the scenic landscape while carrying baby George, with the couple smiling broadly.

The wholesome family moment quickly struck a chord with followers, many of whom praised the couple for taking time away from their busy broadcasting schedules.

“Well deserved, all work and no play, but you are missed,” one fan wrote.

Another added: “Good for you. Family time is so precious. Green spaces, fresh air. Just what’s needed after the volcanic atmosphere in the ‘breaking news’ studios.”

Others highlighted the benefits of introducing young children to nature early on, with one commenter saying: “Perfect family and never too young to introduce the little ones to the beauty of the Lake District.”

A fourth joked: “Nice – I’d have put a brew on for you if I’d known.”

Another added: “Lovely picture of you and baby George, enjoying a nice break at the Lake District.”

The update comes after Emily returned to screens in February, following her maternity leave, having welcomed baby George in September last year.

The People’s Channel presenter made a popular comeback on Easter Monday, fronting a special edition of Britain’s Newsroom alongside Alex Armstrong.

She had been away from the studio for nearly a year after giving birth, though she has made several appearances in recent months.

Emily first teased her return with a smiling selfie posted to social media before going on air, telling followers: “Back in the studio this morning! Presenting Britain’s Newsroom with @Alexarmstrong! Join us 9.30am!”

Shortly afterwards, Patrick shared an adorable moment from home involving baby George.

“Screen time allowed when mummy’s on the telly?” he captioned the post, which showed his son standing up in his playpen watching Emily on screen.

The sweet clip prompted a wave of reactions from fans, with one writing: “ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. I was going to ask if he watched his Mam on TV,” while another simply added: “Lovely.”

“Quality. I hope you are all doing well x,” a third commented, as others praised the heartwarming family dynamic.

Emily’s latest update from the Lake District follows a string of family milestones, including baby George’s first holiday abroad earlier this year.

The couple previously shared snaps from a luxurious trip to the Maldives, where they enjoyed a sun-soaked getaway with their young son.

During the trip, Patrick even gave fans a peek into his fitness regime, showing off the results of his recent weight loss journey.

Patrick thanked his coach back home as he proved he wasn’t letting his workouts take a back seat even while on vacation.
