Eamonn Homes has decisively crowned the “finest film ever made” following a rewatch of the Hollywood classic over Christmas.

Joined by political commentators Andy Twelves and Alice Grant, the trio discussed their favourite films after movie musical West Side Story was slapped with a new trigger warning.

“I’ll tell you what I saw over the Christmas holiday,” Eamonn told his guests. “Grease. And I saw it in the cinema. I remember going to see it when I was 17.

He continued: “I was shocked because it mentioned lots of things that you shouldn’t mention about pregnancies and contraception and all sorts of things.

“Really like you were thinking, ‘oh my goodness, what sort of film is this?’

“And I watched it again on Christmas Day. I really believe this may be one of the finest films ever made.

“So people, yeah, we all change over time and whatever. And I think that the music, the costume, the dance, the design, the characters, the feel good factor from Grease is absolutely incredible.”
