A Ferrari supercar has been left a mangled wreck after its driver lost control in wet conditions.
The red Ferrari 296, which are generally sold brand new for a starting price of between £240,000 and £260,000 before optional extras, was crushed in the crash on the M602 in Salford on Sunday.
Greater Manchester Police said “luckily” the driver had escaped injury.
The bonnet of the high performance car was crushed into a pile of mangled metal, with one of the front wheels twisted out of shape, while the other had completely snapped away.
Police said that “unfortunately there’s one less Ferrari 296 in the world” after “the driver of this one lost control in the wet”.
The force added: “No injuries luckily but please drive to the conditions for everyone’s sake.”
