Craig Conover had frozen his sperm months before his split from Paige DeSorbo – which she called the ‘craziest thing in the world’ at the time.
The TV personality, 35, opened up about the topic of wanting to start a family in the future with his now-ex, 32, during the latest episode of Bravo’s Southern Charm on Thursday.
Earlier this week on Monday, DeSorbo confirmed that both she and Conover had broken up after three years of dating – but did not disclose the reasoning behind the shock split.
While talking to pals Austen Kroll and Shep Rose, Craig expressed, ‘I would be remiss to not say that becoming a dad is like, probably like, a, whatever it’s called when it has to happen in my future,’ per People.
The episode then cut to a flashback as he shared his plans to freeze his sperm to Paige, who responded with, ‘What the f**k? That’s like the craziest thing in the world.’
Conover then explained in a confessional, ‘The version of life that I saw myself living isn’t what I’m living, which is like this stable home that I grew up in.’

‘Every night at dinner, my mom and dad were there and my brother. And I just loved that.’
He continued, ‘But I think if you find the right person and they happen to be a feisty Italian from New York, things aren’t always going to go how you have them planned.’
Both he and DeSorbo had wanted to wait around three to four years to possibly start a family – and Austen questioned Craig who had come up with the specific timeline.
‘She did, and then it made sense to me. Without any influence from Paige, yes, I’d be, like, alright, you date for a little while, then you get married, then you have kids.’
The TV personality added, ‘We’re going to do that one day, but why don’t we just try and make as much money as possible now?’
Conover then emphasized that he wanted to start a family in the future, but Austen later told the cameras: ‘I’m not entirely sold that Craig wants exactly what Paige wants.’
The revelation in the new episode comes not long after Paige announced that both she and Craig split during her Giggly Squad podcast on Monday.
‘Craig and I have decided to no longer be together,’ the Summer House star said, and emotionally added that it was ‘weird’ to discuss the breakup publicly.

However, the reality star expressed, ‘I love him. I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends. No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing.’
Of the separation, DeSorbo shared, ‘I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want. And I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.’
Paige opted to not explain what had caused the pair to go their separate ways, but shared positive words about her ex.
‘He’s definitely the best boyfriend I’ve ever had. Like, I can truly say that. He was a great boyfriend.’
‘And he did everything correct, and he never made me feel insecure or anything like that, so it almost is harder when no one’s done anything to be mad about, and that’s hard.’
Late last month in December – weeks before Paige confirmed their breakup – Craig had revealed that both he and DeSorbo had plans to tie the knot.
During an interview with People, he stated that he had stopped drinking in order to ‘become more of a husband and father material.’
‘We’re playing the long game. It would be easy to go for instant gratification, but the foundation that we’re building is so that we die together one day, not just make it fun.’

Conover then added at the time, ‘We know we’re going to get married one day, and when it happens, it’ll be a lot of fun, but whenever that is, who knows?’
On Thursday, Paige broke her silence to shut down cheating allegations as the reason behind their split.
She responded to a TikTok video from podcaster Up and Adam, titled ‘Paige DeSorbo allegedly caught cheating on Craig Conover!?’
In the video, Up and Adam repeated unfounded allegations that Paige had cheated on Craig with an unnamed ‘internet personality.’
Responding to the video in the comments section, Paige simply wrote, ‘See you in court.’
In other TikTok comments, which were captured by blogger Queens of Bravo, Paige wrote, ‘I’m obsessed with all this fan fiction.’
She added in another comment, ‘Why would I build a brand with a man? I’M THE GIGGLY SQUAD!’
