Couples have revealed their favorite sexual fetishes for 2024 – and kinks that Americans have loved for decades appear to be falling out of favor.
A survey of 4,000 people using the dating app Bumble showed that people lusting over feet, role play and latex are out of vogue.
The survey showed that this year, continuing after orgasm was the number one kink, followed by doing it open-air on a balcony.
The third antic that respondents said turned them on was having sex while playing video games, while waking each other up with oral sex slid in at fourth place.
As a warm up to the main event, many people said they enjoyed working out together while naked, making this the fifth most popular fetish for 2024.
The data also showed a difference in sexual preferences between Gen Z and their Millennial and Gen X counterparts.
Gen Z appear to be slightly tamer in their approach to sex.
When quizzed on their favorite sexual activities, cuddling took the top spot with other preferences including at-home spa pamper days, ‘hanging in a hotel bathtub with a tremendous view’, and sex in the shower.

To capture the data, Bumble quizzed 4,059 members of its Official app, which is available in 46 countries and designed to build stronger relationships between couples through date planning and communication tips.
When it came honing that adventurous spirit, Gen Z respondents were shier about introducing sex toys in the bedroom, with just 43 percent of those quizzed saying they would be open to it.

This compared to a majority (54 percent) of Millennial and Gen X participants who said they were already using sexual aids or intimate products between the sheets.
Gen Z couples were also less likely to to look for advice on intimacy positions to spice things up than older generations using the Official app.
Instead, they were twice more likely to report the old classic ‘missionary’ as their favorite position compared to Millennial and Gen X users.
Overall, couples’ favorite sex positions were revealed to be kneeling (74 percent), face-to-face (72 percent), right angle (70 percent), cowgirl (59 percent), and oral sex (56 percent).
At the other end of the scale, the most unpopular sex positions were exposed as doggy style (53 percent), sixty-nine (52 percent), and anal (50 percent).
In terms of intimate toys, pink furry handcuffs topped the list for 2023.
In another recent anonymous survey on bedroom kinks, objectophilia made the top ten.
Experts from telehealth company Hims asked more than 7,000 Americans about their sex lives and habits they prefer in the bedroom.
As three in four said they wanted to explore different trends, respondents revealed which kinks they were more interested in trying.
One of the most popular, and risky, was objectophilia, which involves being sexually attracted to inanimate objects.
For many, this means inserting foreign objects into one’s anus or vagina to achieve orgasm.
Recent research shows that nearly 4,000 Americans are rushed to the emergency room every year for getting these objects stuck in their rectums – including sex toys like vibrators, others have opted for jars, drugs, and even weaponry and live animals.
Researchers from the University of Rochester, New York, found that men were more likely than women to come to hospital with a foreign object lodged in their rectums
Depending on how big or sharp the object is, insertion gone wrong can lead to tears in the rectal wall, infections, and bowel obstructions.
Foot fetishes, roleplay and cuckholding – the act of watching one’s partner have sex with someone else, also made the list of habits Americans were most curious about.
However, role play was revealed as the number one kink, with 31 percent of respondents voting for this option to spice things up.
The findings come as the US faces a ‘sex recession,’ with recent studies suggesting that more than one in three young people haven’t had a sexual partner in the last year.
