Another property construction company has plunged into administration amid the UK’s ongoing housing crisis.
Harvey Homes Group, a housebuilder based in Altrincham, Manchester, has filed for administratio, marking another casualty in a punishing climate for British businesses.
The company, which was established in 2017, formally entered administration on August 6, according to Creditman.
Home Reach described the company as delivering bespoke homes for buyers, and its developments earned recognition at several of the industry’s most prestigious award ceremonies.

Thomas Harvey-Ratcliffe co-founded the business alongside his father Nicholas, a chartered surveyor with expertise in land acquisition and planning.
Together, they steered the firm to multiple industry honours, including Best Residential Development, Best One-Off Home in the Country, and Best Luxury Property.
James Saunders and Mark Blackman of KR8 Advisory have been appointed to oversee the administration process.
Business administrations jumped 41 per cent in January 2026, fuelled by escalating wages, subdued consumer spending, and swelling operational costs.

Insolvency Service figures revealed that 151 companies entered administration that month alone, a 14 per cent rise on the same period in 2025.
By late February, insolvency levels showed no sign of easing, with retail and hospitality under particular strain.
Sarah Rayment, managing director and global co-head of restructuring at Kroll, said: “The key question at this point in the year is whether distress and insolvencies will continue to rise given the pressures facing UK businesses.
“The reality is that every sector will face headwinds this year.”

.”Many directors will have signed personal guarantees to secure loans, overdrafts or trade finance,” he said, noting that defaulting on such guarantees can jeopardise personal assets including property and savings.
Harvey Homes Group is far from the only established name to succumb to these pressures in recent months.
National Car Parks, which has operated for nearly a century, has also entered administration, as has Denby Pottery, the globally recognised ceramics manufacturer that has been trading since 1809.
