Martin Daubney has warned the “nonsense wokerati” to “keep their inclusive beaks out of our Christmas festivities” after changing the name of an iconic festive fundraiser.

The GB News host expressed his outrage after schools across the UK chose to rename Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day to “Winter Jumper Day”.

Questioning if “nothing is safe from the wokerati”, Martin fumed: “In a bid to be more inclusive, again, a London school has renamed its Christmas Jumper Day as Winter Jumper Day.

“Is nothing safe from the wokerati?”

Reading a letter from a London school to parents, Martin said: “Its winter jumper day will offer parents calendars featuring pictures of children in festive jumpers and a winter scene backdrop.

“No mention of the C-word, no mention of Christmas. Other primary schools in London are using similar language for their jumper day.”

Despairing at a growth in renaming Christmas themed events and products in Britain, Martin told viewers: “So basically, a lot of schools are now saying we don’t offend anybody who isn’t Christian, so we’re not going to call it a Christmas jumper, we’re going to call it a winter jumper.

“Only recently, Tesco gave us ‘evergreen trees’ instead of Christmas trees. Who puts up a Christmas tree at any other time of the year except Christmas?

“It’s a Christmas day, it’s a Christmas tree and it’s a Christmas jumper.”

Hitting out at the anti-Christian agenda carried by many in Britain, Martin raged: “Are they, I wonder, going to rename Ramadan this year or Eid to make it more inclusive? Of course they won’t.

“It’s only ever Christian festivities and Christian events that get this kind of nonsensical wokerati interference.”

He added: “Everywhere you go, it’s not appropriate to mention Christ. It’s a festival about the birth of Jesus.

“It’s a Christian festival, it’s a Christmas tree, it’s a Christmas jumper. Keep your inclusive beaks out of our Christmas festivities.”

Praising Save the Children for continuing their annual fundraiser, the GB News host said: “Critics have blasted it as utterly ridiculous, and they’ve called this school pathetic snowflakes: a Christmas related term of abuse there that some will no doubt agree with.

“It comes ahead of the charity Save the Children’s annual Christmas Jumper Day this week, with schools asked to raise funds. Save the children have still kept on, just about, with Christmas. It feels like we’re doing Save This Christmas!”

Several other schools have similarly embraced the “inclusive” rebrand across the length and breadth of the country.

A school in Scotland, which has also made the change, lists “equity” among its core values and states that the school endeavours to “promote mutual respect” and “celebrate diversity” on its website.

Additionally, another school in London is hosting a “festive school lunch” as part of its celebrations.

Condemning the decision, Conservative leader in the London Assembly Susan Hall said the move is “outrageous and utterly ridiculous”.

She told The Telegraph: “What is wrong with children celebrating Christmas in our schools? It is a Christian country after all, or is supposed to be.”
