Former The Only Way is Essex personality Chloe Meadows opened up about her nerve-wracking move into the world of acting, revealing that stepping away from reality television proved to be a daunting challenge.

Speaking to GB News about the role she landed in the upcoming action-comedy Jackie The Stripper, the former reality star reflected on how long the move has been a dream of hers.

The film is set in London and follows a secret sisterhood of female vigilante assassins battling a powerful male-dominated organisation known as The Court.

Speaking about the transition from Towie to film acting, Ms Meadows admitted the shift felt intimidating.

“It’s a bit terrifying, going from reality TV to doing acting, it’s obviously quite different,” she said.

Despite her initial nerves, the former Towie favourite described the experience as overwhelmingly positive, calling it “the best thing I’ve ever done.”

Ms Meadows features in the Victorian portion of the production, which she explained differs significantly from other parts of the film.

The movie is divided into two distinct sections, with the contemporary segments featuring light-hearted slapstick comedy.

By contrast, the period sequences where Ms Meadows appears take on a much more sombre atmosphere.

“We were in the Victorian part, we were head to toe in the Victorian gear, and it was quite deep and dark, very serious,” she explained.

The stark difference between the two halves creates what she described as “a real contrast” within the production.

Jackie The Stripper is set against the backdrop of Whitechapel, where a centuries-old conflict between a secret sisterhood of assassins and a shadowy organisation called The Court plays out across both eras.

The transition proved particularly overwhelming when Ms Meadows found herself working alongside established actors from the very beginning.

Her opening day on set saw her paired with James Phelps, best known for his role in the Harry Potter franchise.

“It was very cool. I mean, my first day I was with James [Phelps], who was on Harry Potter. I was very star-struck,” she recalled.

Ms Meadows acknowledged that jumping straight into a scene with what she called “a Harry Potter legend” made her acting debut extra intimidating.

Despite the nerve-wracking circumstances, Ms Meadows found tremendous support from her more experienced colleagues on set.

Both soap star Jamie Lomas and Mr Phelps helped put her at ease during the production, offering reassurance when she needed it most.

“Jamie and James are all just like amazing with me. They were supporting me, and they were like, ‘calm down, you’re gonna be fine,'” she said.

Summarising the experience, she concluded: “It was just amazing. It was a dream, like it was just the best thing on it. I keep saying it’s like the best thing I’ve ever done. I loved it, so good.”
