Chelsee Healey has revealed she had her C-section three weeks before her due date after suffering with ‘dark thoughts’ during her second pregnancy.
The Hollyoaks star, 36, welcomed daughter Cookie last December but struggled severely with her mental health before and after.
Chelsee – who also has daughter Coco, seven – revealed she had post-partum depression too.
She told The Sun: ‘I have suffered with my mental health for a long time and it hit its peak while I was pregnant.
‘There were times when I would have dark thoughts then blame myself, because I would think, ‘How can I be like this when I am pregnant and have a young girl who needs her mum?’.
‘They had to put me into my C-section early because of my mental health. Cookie was due on January 14 and they put me in for my C-section on December 22. They knew I was really struggling.’

Chelsee saw a therapist during her tough pregnancy and continues to do so as Cookie turns one in order to get to the bottom of her mental health struggles, as well as taking medication.
When Cookie was born Chelsee was criticized for her choice of name.
One Instagram follower commented: ‘Stop choosing names for your kids that people will bully them with because you want to be ‘special”.
Which prompted Chelsee to fire back: ‘@amber.darke any kid bully’s my kids [angry emoji] we don’t tolerate bully’s bring your kids up better and mind your business’ [sic].
Chelsee later hit back to fire back at the ‘nasty’ messages she’d received about her daughter as she admitted it had been a ‘difficult’ week.
Taking to Instagram Stories she shared: ‘Thank you so so much for the gorgeous messages and comments on my new baby girl.
‘It’s been a difficult week but so happy she is here and healthy.
