Charlie Dimmock has opened up about her ‘love-hate’ relationship with her TV career in a rare interview – as The Masked Singer fans are convinced she’s signed up for the show.
The TV presenter, 58, first made her television debut on Ground Force in 1997, a BBC gardening makeover programme which aired from 1997 until 2005.
She appeared on the BBC gardening series alongside broadcaster Alan Titchmarsh, 75, and Tommy Walsh, 68, before landing her own self-titled garden show in the noughties.
Even though the show was axed after one series, the 58-year-old is still on screens today with her BBC One series Garden Rescue.
However, despite paving out a long-lasting career in television, Charlie has admitted she has a ‘love-hate’ relationship with the industry.
Reuniting with her former co-star Alan, he explained how Charlie thought her fame would be a ‘transitory’ period of her life but it turned out to be further than the truth after almost three decades on air.

It comes as The Masked Singer fans have been left convinced she’s the star behind Bush on the ITV show
Charlie replied: ‘We are gardeners. We are basically down to earth, aren’t we? It is what it is and you’ve got to carry on.’
She added: ‘I do love it but I hate it at the same time.’ Alan replied: ‘Because it gets in the way of life?’
Charlie followed up with: ‘It gets in the way of different things and stuff like that.’
When the cameras aren’t rolling, Charlie also said she spends her time ‘just like everybody else’ with friends and family.
Meanwhile, The Masked Singer fans have been left convinced she’s the star behind Bush on the ITV show.
The Masked Singer returned last Sunday for its second episode of the series with a whole host of new celebrities taking to the floor in wacky costumes hiding their true identity.
During the show, Bush took to the floor for the first time and it didn’t take long for the audience to believe they had cracked their identity.
Clues to the star’s identity included ‘People think bush is boring but I don’t let that drag me down’, that they were ‘happy pottering about’ and were ‘stage managing’ where all the plants should go.
