Carole and Michael Middleton made a stylish appearance at the All England Lawn Tennis Club on Tuesday afternoon for the Wimbledon quarterfinals.

The outing marked the second day running that the Princess of Wales’s mother had taken her seat at SW19, having enjoyed Monday’s action alongside her youngest daughter Pippa.

The couple were photographed arriving ahead of the day’s matches, with temperatures reaching 30 degrees in the capital.

Mr Middleton tends to keep a lower profile than his wife, though the pair have been spotted together at several high-profile events recently, including Ladies’ Day at Royal Ascot last month.

For her Tuesday appearance, Mrs Middleton opted for a white and blue floral maxi dress from British label ME+EM, featuring the brand’s distinctive zip-front design and billowing sleeves.

The linen-blend frock followed her Monday choice of a white ME+EM maxi layered beneath a blue Catherine Walker blazer.

Her accessories remained equally consistent, with the 71-year-old carrying a straw Longchamp Le Roseau bucket bag on Tuesday after sporting the same style in tan leather the previous day.

She completed the look with a coordinating rattan hat and nude Geox sandals.

Mr Middleton complemented his wife’s colour palette in navy trousers, a cream jacket and pastel shirt with a blue tie.

The Middletons are familiar faces at the Grand Slam, with their eldest daughter Catherine serving as royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

The Princess of Wales made an unexpected visit to the tournament last week on day four, watching British competitors on the outer courts.

“Wimbledon… was very much part of my growing up,” she said.

“It’s such a quintessential part of the English summer, and I think it really inspires youngsters; it inspired me when I was younger to get involved in the game.”

Speaking in a 2017 BBC documentary, Catherine reflected on the championship’s significance to her childhood.
