Four men have been jailed for their role in a crime spree covering multiple counties in which they targeted more than a dozen cars from driveways.
Cheshire Police have confirmed that four men – Asad Ali, Hassan Ali, Kian Brisban-Drawles and Mohammed Haroon – were jailed after admitting conspiracy to steal cars across the country.
The crime spree occurred between May 1, 2025, and July 25, 2025, according to an investigation by Crewe Proactive CID.
Officers identified that 14 cars were stolen from driveways in Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Birmingham, Hampshire and Cheshire.
The four men were found to be responsible for the crimes and were jailed for:
- Hassan Ali, 26, also from Emington Crescent, Birmingham – Four years and two months
- Asad Ali, 24, from Ermington Crescent, Birmingham – Four years
- Mohammed Haroon, 29, from Roon End Road, Birmingham – Three years
- Kian Brisban-Drawles, 25, from Nafford Grove, Birmingham – One year and nine months

The “gang of thieves” first came to the attention of the police after cars were stolen from driveways in Congleton, Sandbach and Haslington.
Chester Crown Court heard that the men had used a device to read the signal from the car keys in the house to open the car door and start the engine.
These so-called relay devices have become more common in recent years as criminals use more sophisticated methods to steal vehicles with a lesser chance of being detected.
Cheshire Police stated that the device was found in a car belonging to Mr Haroon when he was arrested.

A car used in their crimes was found to be registered to Hassan Ali, although it was also used by his brother, Asad. The police explained that the keys were found on Hassan.
DC Ben Harrington, from Cheshire Police, said the four men were now all “facing the consequences of their actions”.
He added: “These men worked together to steal high-value cars but made the mistake of targeting Cheshire residents.”
A search of the address listed with Hassan and Asad in Ermington Crescent, Birmingham, uncovered a “large amount” of car parts in the garage.

These parts were identified as having been linked to the stolen cars from various parts of the country.
Officers were able to link the men to the crimes through phone analysis, CCTV cameras and other investigative methods.
The force found that the four men were also talking about the cars and their crimes in messages found on their phones.
