King Charles has visited Germany more than 40 times, including three official visits with Queen Camilla.

This will be the first inward State Visit by a President of Germany in 27 years, and the fifth since 1958.

The King has already hosted two successful State Visits this year, with President Emmanuel Macron and President Donald Trump spending time in the UK in July and September.

State Visits are an important tool for both the UK Government and the monarchy in strengthening relations with other nations.

Royal insiders described the State Visit as an “awesome spectacle” and the Trumps as “very easy to deal with” throughout their time in the UK.

The source said: “It was very pleasing to see the way the state visit has been warmly received both by the guests and the media on both sides of the Atlantic.

“The visiting party was very easy to deal with and very appreciative of the hospitality.
