Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz are believed to have scrapped their April 2022 wedding date as their anniversary, opting instead to treat their private vow renewal from August 2025 as the occasion they will mark going forward.
The couple, who originally wed during a lavish three-day affair at the Peltz family’s Palm Beach estate before roughly 500 guests, are said to view their first ceremony as tainted by difficult memories.
Their vow renewal last summer was a far more intimate gathering, attended by Nicola’s relatives and close friends. However, it notably excluded Sir David and Victoria Beckham and the wider Beckham family.
According to The Sun, the pair now regard that second ceremony as their “official” anniversary, believing it better represents the relationship they wish to celebrate.

Neither Brooklyn nor Nicola publicly acknowledged the April anniversary of their original wedding earlier this year.
A source told The Sun: “Brooklyn and Nicola’s first wedding in April 2022 is not an occasion they look back on fondly. Nicola ended up in tears. It’s not something they want to be reminded of.”
The insider added: “Their second wedding, where they renewed their vows last August with just her family and their friends, does hold so many happy memories, however.”
“Going forwards, they’ve decided that this is the date they will celebrate publicly together,” the source continued.
Those with knowledge of the couple’s thinking alleged that Brooklyn and Nicola were keen to reclaim ownership of their special day.
A separate source described the pair as “thriving” and “incredibly happy,” adding: “Their second wedding last year was beautiful and couldn’t have been more perfect. For them, this is the moment they want to celebrate.”
The insider insisted the shift did not feel “pointed” to the couple, saying: “It’s just honest.”

Both Brooklyn and Nicola shared tributes on Instagram this week to commemorate the first anniversary of their vow renewal.
Brooklyn, 27, wrote: “Happy anniversary Nicola I can’t tell you how much I love you x you are my best friend and I love you more than life itself xx.”
He continued: “I am so lucky to be able to call you my wife xx you are my absolute princess and I promise to always protect you xx.”
Nicola, 31, responded with her own message, posting: “Happy anniversary my love you make life so beautiful. Thank you for being the most amazing husband I could ever dream of.”
It was the first time Nicola had chosen to publicly celebrate a wedding anniversary with Brooklyn on social media.
The decision deepens the well-documented estrangement between Brooklyn and his parents.
In a lengthy public statement released earlier this year, he accused his mother, Victoria, of disrupting his planned first dance with Nicola at their 2022 wedding, alleging she “danced very inappropriately” on him before all 500 guests.
He also claimed his mother branded him “evil” during the planning process over a disagreement about table seating arrangements.
Brooklyn said the couple chose to renew their vows so they could “create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.”
David and Victoria have not publicly responded in detail to those allegations.
