Boots has kicked off the festive season with a magical new Christmas advert that brings “beloved” fairytale characters to the high street.

Entitled “Gift Happily Ever After”, the charming short film sees classic storybook figures hunt for the perfect beauty presents.

The campaign marks a significant expansion of Boots’ festive offerings this year.

The retailer has welcomed more than 50 fresh brands to its Christmas line-up, including the worldwide launch of White Fox as a high street exclusive.

With presents starting at just £1.50, it’s clear the retailer wants to make Boots the “go-to destination for gifting”.

The 60-second video follows feline protagonist Puss as he searches for last-minute presents before the Snow Queen’s Ball.

After consulting his magical mirror, he sets off through “snowy fairytale land” but loses his hat in a fierce wind.

Diving after it, he tumbles through the clouds and lands on a UK high street right in front of a Boots store.

For those last-minute panics, Boots offers next-day Click & Collect, plus instant delivery through Deliveroo and Uber Eats from over 500 stores.

Inside, a helpful Boots beauty specialist assists him in choosing thoughtful presents for his friends: a Shark Glam 5-in-1 Hot Tool for Rapunz, No7 Pro Artist Lip Duo Set for Snowy, Carolina Herrera Good Girl Perfume for Cinders, and a No7 Cordless Mirror for Prince Charming.

Delighted with their gifts, the gang heads to the ball, where Puss presents the majestic Snow Queen with a present of her own.

The retailer has transformed its festive selection this year, bringing together more than 150 brands for Christmas shoppers. Nearly half of these are only available at Boots, making it a treasure trove for unique presents.

Budget-conscious shoppers will love that almost 50 per cent of the seasonal collection costs £10 or less.

The new additions include trending favourites like Made by Mitchell and Beauty of Joseon, alongside customer-loved brands such as Bubble, LANEIGE, and No7.

It’s brilliant that there’s something for every budget and taste, whether you’re after stocking fillers or showstopping gifts.

Director of marketing at Boots, Laura Gooday, shared her excitement about the campaign: “This year, more than ever, we want to help our customers gift happily ever after.

“Our campaign, brought to life by Puss and his fairytale friends, reminds everyone that Boots is the destination for finding the perfect gift for everyone on your list.”
