Everyday foods like Greek yoghurt and nuts could be the secret weapons to help you reach your weight loss goals, according to a fitness expert.

Bodybuilding specialist and consultant at Bodybuilding Reviews, Nader Qudimat, explained that both foods have unique properties that make them particularly effective for managing weight.

The scientific evidence backing these claims is both straightforward and practical, as Greek yoghurt packs a punch of nutrients that support weight loss.

Mr Qudimat told GB News: “Because protein increases feelings of fullness, lowers hunger, and helps control appetite, fewer calories are consumed overall during the day.”

In addition, the calcium in Greek yoghurt may help the body absorb less fat from meals, giving your weight loss efforts an extra boost.

“Greek yoghurt is also an excellent source of probiotics, which are helpful microorganisms that promote intestinal health,” Mr Qudimat explained. Maintaining healthy gut bacteria has been linked to better weight control.

Despite their reputation for being high in calories, nuts can actually support your weight loss journey.

The weight loss specialist revealed that the fats found in nuts – specifically monounsaturated and polyunsaturated varieties – can help you feel satisfied and reduce the likelihood of eating too much.

“They also contain a high amount of fibre and protein, which help keep you full and content and less likely to reach for harmful snacks,” he explained. These filling nutrients work together to curb cravings throughout the day.

Beyond weight management, the fan-favourite snack delivers essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that your body needs to stay healthy, benefiting both the waistline and overall well-being.

When choosing these weight-loss-friendly foods, Qudimat offered some practical tips.

For Greek yoghurt, he recommends sticking to plain, low-fat varieties rather than flavoured options that often contain extra sweeteners or artificial ingredients.

“Nuts can help you lose weight, but you should eat them in moderation and choose unsalted kinds to limit your consumption of sodium,” he advised.

By selecting the right varieties and watching portion sizes, you can enjoy these nutritious foods whilst working towards your health goals.
