Rochdale have signed goalkeeper Ben Winterbottom from League Two strugglers Barrow in a short-term loan deal.
The 24-year-old moves to the National League leaders with Dale number one Oliver Whatmuff – on loan from Manchester City – currently away on international duty with the England Under-19 squad.
Barrow say Winterbottom will be available for Rochdale’s next two matches – against Scunthorpe United and Sutton United – before returning to them.
“I’m just happy that I can come in, help the team and be ready to contribute for a great set of lads,” Winterbottom told the Rochdale club website., external
