England’s 3×3 men’s and women’s basketball teams have reached the Commonwealth Games after coming through a Home Nations qualification tournament.

With hosts Scotland already qualified, the two-day event at the National Basketball Performance Centre in Manchester featured sides from England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.

After winning all their group games, England men beat Northern Ireland 21-9 in a lively final to book their place in Glasgow and a chance at regaining the title they won at Birmingham 2022.

The women – silver medallists in Birmingham – were similarly undefeated in the group stages and overcame Wales 21-11 in the final.
