More than 20 antiques were stolen from a National Trust (NT) property during a break-in last month, it has been revealed.

The silver, pewter and brass items were taken from the 16th Century manor house at Baddesley Clinton in Warwickshire, on 30 July.

The most notable piece of the 25 taken was a Georgian silver salver engraved with the coat of arms of the Ferrers, the family who resided at the house for about five centuries, the NT said.

“We very much hope the objects will be returned, so they can be enjoyed by everyone,” a spokesperson added.
