A new film called The Janitor is set to dramatise Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s withdrawal from public life, it has emerged.

The production features Harry Kirton, known for his role in Peaky Blinders, playing a crisis publicist whose job involves making the scandals of powerful figures disappear.

Among the sequences being recreated is one titled “The Table of Filth,” which is about Mr Mountbatten-Windsor.

The identity of the actor portraying Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has not yet been disclosed by the filmmakers.

His royal titles were removed last year as a consequence of his links to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

On February 19 this year, the date of his 66th birthday, he was placed under arrest, and an investigation into his conduct remains ongoing.

The King’s brother has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s legal representatives were allowed to contribute his perspective ahead of the script being completed.

However, the former duke chose not to participate in the project, which may reach cinemas before Christmas, the Mail has reported.

Buckingham Palace received two separate approaches from the production team but offered no response on either occasion.

One scene depicts a journalist presenting the former prince with the photograph of him alongside Virginia Giuffre, who alleged she was trafficked and forced to have sex with him at the age of 17, an allegation he has always rejected.

Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has also stated he has no recollection of ever meeting her.

The film’s closing sequence features staff examining an image of the former duke kneeling over a woman, a photograph that surfaced as part of the Epstein files made public in January.

Lady Victoria Hervey, 49, Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s ex-girlfriend, will also appear as a character, though casting details remain unknown.

According to a production insider, the film’s legal team has “bulletproofed every single frame” and stands ready for any backlash that may follow its release.

The source described the project to the Mail as dragging “into the daylight some of the most toxic cover-ups in modern British history.”

Executive producer Dr Shamsa Akhtar has indicated that a television adaptation for the American market could also be in development.

GB News has contacted Mr Mountbatten-Windsor, his lawyers at Blackfords LLP and Dr Akhtar for comment.
