Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor emailed Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie ahead of their reunion with the Royal Family, it has been reported.

Andrew’s two daughters made their dramatic return to the royal fold last Saturday, when they arrived for Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling’s romantic wedding ceremony in the Cotswolds.

Instead, they confidently strolled down the road to the church’s entrance – a decision that, according to the Daily Mail, was influenced by their father.

Beatrice, who sported a mint green floral dress, arrived underneath an umbrella alongside her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Eugenie, who is heavily pregnant, wore a navy blue midi coat dress, paired with blue block-heel sandals and a headpiece. She also strided in with her husband, Jack Brooksbank.

The outlet claims that the former Duke of York emailed his daughters ahead of the ceremony, urging them not just to attend, but to “hold their heads high”.

Andrew remains in exile and was not in attendance for Saturday’s nuptials. He was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

The former prince strongly denies any wrongdoing.

The wedding marked Beatrice and Eugenie’s first public appearance with the Royal Family of the year, after they were granted absence from the Easter Sunday service in April by the King.

Their presence at All Saints’ Church in Kemble was certainly appreciated, and they were warmly welcomed back into the fold by many of their relatives.

The Prince of Wales, who arrived to considerable cheers from local onlookers, greeted Beatrice with an intimate kiss on the cheek.

But none were more excited than Zara, who welcomed the sisters with literal open arms as they approached the church, and excitedly leapt up to greet Beatrice.

The cousins are said to share a very close bond.

Young Mia Tindall, dressed in a blue-and-white floral print dress with a headband, followed in her mum’s footsteps when she was seen hugging Eugenie.

Despite the resounding greeting from the rest of the family, last week’s wedding was set against a difficult backdrop for Beatrice and Eugenie.

A bombshell National Audit Office (NAO) report, just hours before the nuptials, revealed that they had been living rent-free in their St James’s Palace and Kensington Palace royal accommodations.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News the pair were “warmly welcomed” but warned they are not in the clear just yet.

“This was a private royal event, therefore it was natural that Beatrice and Eugenie attended and were warmly welcomed,” he said.

“However, their problem remains that they are still in the eye of an unravelling storm, however unfairly, because of their parents, who are notorious.”
