Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’s widow Allison Holker defended her decision to include his alleged drug addiction and childhood molestation by a male figure in her upcoming tell-all This Far after facing a barrage of backlash from his friends and family.
The 36-year-old So You Think You Can Dance judge previously claimed she uncovered a ‘cornucopia’ of drugs — including mushrooms and pills – inside shoeboxes in his closet while picking out an outfit for him to wear at his funeral.
‘It was very alarming to me to learn that there was so much happening that I had no clue [about],’ Allison recalled in her People cover story Tuesday.
‘It was a really scary moment in my life to figure that out, but it also helped me process that he was going through so much and he was hiding so much, and there must have been a lot of shame in that.’
Holker also combed through his journals: ‘He was wrestling with a lot inside himself, and he was trying to self-medicate and cope with all those feelings because he didn’t want to put it on anyone because he loved everyone so much.’
However, the Alabama-born pop-and-locking dancer’s autopsy showed no drugs nor alcohol in his system when he took his own life, at age 40, in 2022 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Stephen committed suicide in a suite at the Oak Tree Inn in Encino just three days after celebrating his ninth wedding anniversary with the Dancing with the Stars pro.
In fact, Allison was reportedly arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct at the Salt Lake City Airport back in September 2018 – according to gossip blogger Katie Paulson.
Boss’ cousin Darielle has since blasted Holker for ‘exploiting’ and ‘lying’ about him and forcing all his friends and family – including his mother Connie Alexander Boss – to sign a non-disclosure agreement to attend his funeral at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Family friend Courtney Ann Platt called the Emmy-nominated choreographer’s revelations ‘by far the most tacky, classless, opportunistic act I have ever seen in my entire life.’
Stephen’s brother Dré Rose reposted Platt’s statement to his Instastory, adding: ‘No lies told…’
In response, Allison stressed her ‘only intention’ in writing the 240-page memoir hitting shelves February 4 was for other people to ‘catch some [of] the red flags that I missed before it’s too late.’
‘My hope is that we don’t need to lose another husband, brother, father, or friend to suicide,’ Holker – who has 4M social media followers – wrote via Instastory Wednesday.
‘I believe that if Stephen were able to choose, he would choose to have his story told if it meant saving even one life. Much love to all those who have supported our family these many years.’
The Minnesota-born hoofer claimed she’s ‘donating all the proceeds’ of the book to her foundation Move with Kindness, but the alleged non-profit has no official website nor office – only a ramshackle Instagram account with 56 followers.
