Pet owners looking to include their furry friends in Christmas celebrations this year will love what Aldi has in store.

The discount retailer is introducing Dog Mince Pies at £4.99 for a four-pack, hitting shelves on December 11.

These special treats put a savoury spin on the traditional festive favourite. Each pie comes decorated with a miniature bone-shaped dog treat on top, making it impossible to mix them up with the human version (phew).

The launch comes as an increasing number of dog owners reveal they enjoy treating their canine companions during the holidays.

By introducing this dog-friendly snack, Aldi is ensuring that “beloved pooches can join in the festive feasting” alongside their pet parents.

The excitement around these canine treats became clear when a sweet scene unfolded at Aldi’s Hinckley store.

A queue of eager dogs was spotted waiting outside the supermarket, hoping for a first taste of the new mince pies.

It turns out our canine friends are just as keen on festive treats as we are.

Aldi described the sight as “paws-itively adorable” as the four-legged customers lined up patiently.

The heartwarming scene of dogs queuing shows just how much pet owners want to include their furry companions in Christmas traditions.

But dog lovers will need to act fast to get their paws on these treats. Taking on the Aldi Specialbuys format, “once they’re gone, they’re gone”.

ALDI

The supermarket is clearly expecting high demand for these Christmassy canine snacks.

With the launch just over a week away, it’s worth marking December 11 in your diary if you want to treat your pooch this year.

At £4.99 for four pies, it’s an affordable way to make sure your furry friend doesn’t miss out on all the fun.

Aldi is also celebrating Christmas with a world-first lickable wrapping paper that tastes like pigs in blankets.

Telling Britons to prepare for something “truly unique”, the retailer revealed that it’s a fully immersive experience; the paper doesn’t just taste like the festive staple, it smells like it too.
