Adele stepped out at Silverstone on Sunday afternoon for a rare public outing at the British Grand Prix, making it clear from the get-go who her support was behind.

The Hello hitmaker was spotted sporting a fan t-shirt honouring 2025 World Champion Lando Norris and his McLaren squad.

The 38-year-old Grammy winner completed her look with a delicate necklace spelling out “Mummy” as she joined fellow celebrities in the VIP paddock area.

Her attendance comes just days after the Someone Like You singer disclosed that her 13-year-old son Angelo, whom she shares with former husband Simon Konecki, has developed an intense passion for the sport.

“He’s obsessed but I’m also obsessed,” Adele revealed during a visit to McLaren’s headquarters on Friday, explaining how Formula 1 has become an unexpected way to connect with her teenage son.

The race itself delivered a thrilling conclusion, with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc securing his maiden victory of the season after Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli encountered difficulties in the closing stages.

However, the finish proved confusing for spectators and teams alike, as the race concluded under safety car conditions following a technical malfunction.

Race control initially indicated the safety car would return to the pits with a single lap remaining, only for it to remain on track, freezing the running order until the chequered flag.

The FIA subsequently issued a statement confirming that “the safety car in this lap message was displayed erroneously due to a software error.”

Antonelli had started from pole position following an impressive qualifying performance, with Leclerc second and Lewis Hamilton third on the grid.

Silverstone’s paddock attracted a stellar gathering of famous faces beyond the music icon.

Queen guitarist Brian May, 78, was spotted deep in conversation with team members during a visit to the Ferrari garage.

Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham posed for photographs wearing a patterned dress paired with a black jacket.

Footballer Jamie Vardy attended alongside wife Rebekah, the couple appearing together following their recent three-part reality series The Vardys.

Hollywood actor Damson Idris cut a stylish figure in a beige short-sleeved shirt and dark sunglasses, while Sam Claflin was seen chatting with Audi F1 Team driver Nico Hulkenberg.

Pregnant Holly Ramsay also joined the festivities, showing off her bump in a fitted white skirt as she posed with former racing driver Susie Wolff.

Adele’s Silverstone appearance followed a surprise visit to McLaren’s Woking headquarters, where chief executive Zak Brown gave her a tour of the Technology Centre alongside her teenage son.

During the visit, she met drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, with the experience captured in a video released by McLaren Racing on Friday.

The singer explained that Angelo had taken up karting a couple of years ago, prompting her own enthusiasm for motorsport.

“I don’t know many teenagers now that have an actual passion. So I’m really trying to encourage it,” she said.

Adele added that she never anticipated bonding with her “soon-to-be 14-year-old son about something so passionately where we argue about drivers.”

The star previously attended the 2025 United States Grand Prix in Austin, where she visited the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS pit and posed with George Russell and Kimi Antonelli.
