Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty faces harsh criticism from his own relatives, who have called him a “narcissist” following revelations that his mother Caroline has been excluded from his forthcoming marriage to Holly Ramsay.
The three-time Olympic gold medallist’s family members claim the 30-year-old athlete has been transformed by wealth and celebrity status, suggesting he has lost touch with his roots.
Relations between the swimmer and his family have deteriorated significantly, with one relative telling The Sun: “Adam has been changed by money, fame and fortune.
He seems to have forgotten where he came from.” The family member, who receives Universal Credit, expressed frustration at being unable to afford the country house venues selected for wedding celebrations.

PAThe 59-year-old nursery manager was notably missing from Holly’s pre-wedding celebrations at Soho Farmhouse, which included Victoria Beckham, Tana Ramsay and Adam’s sister among the attendees.
Instead, Caroline remained at home caring for Adam’s five-year-old son George during the weekend festivities.
The situation has reportedly escalated to Caroline being prohibited from attending the couple’s Christmas ceremony at Bath Abbey.
Sources indicate the conflict stems from Holly’s decision not to include her future mother-in-law in the hen party, despite Adam inviting Gordon Ramsay to his stag celebrations.
Caroline has expressed her distress through social media posts featuring quotes about heartbreak.
One recent post stated: “When you love someone, you protect them from the pain, you don’t become the cause of it,” which she captioned: “The ones I love are the people who hurt me the most.”
Louise Williams, Adam’s aunt, launched a direct attack on Holly through Instagram, responding to the engagement announcement with sharp criticism.
She wrote to the bride-to-be: “@hollyramsayy I’m so glad that you had a great hen do. As a bride, you deserve that.
However, as a person you were divisive and hurtful towards a woman, who I have loved and continue to love deeply.”
Williams highlighted the contrast in wedding preparations, pointing out that Holly had invited “your mum’s assistant, your sisters, your friends, my niece” whilst excluding “my sister, your future mother-in-law”.
She noted that Caroline had “opened her home and heart to you” before concluding: “You have inflicted a hurt on my sister that will take a very long time to heal if ever.”
She also claimed the swimmer is “ashamed” of his brothers, going as far as labelling him a “narcissist.”
One family member stated: “We think he has treated Caroline appallingly. You can hear it in her voice. She’s heartbroken.”
Sources close to the situation suggest the Peatys are not Gordon and Tana Ramsay’s “cup of tea”, with an insider telling MailOnline: “The Ramsays are rich and they like the nicer things in life because they can afford it. On the other hand, the Peatys are far less polished.”
Caroline previously spoke about the sacrifices she made for Adam’s swimming career, including 4am starts and 40-minute drives to training.
Meanwhile, Adam has credited Gordon Ramsay with helping him escape “three years of hell” following struggles with alcoholism and mental health issues.
