Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle Sr, has been arrested in Florida.
FBI agents arrived at the Maravida Senior Living care home to apprehend the Duchess of Sussex’s 82-year-old’s estranged father.
Thomas Sr is said to have been arrested for possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
He strongly denies the allegations against him
Meghan’s representatives declined to comment when approached by GB News.
The People’s Channel has also sought a response from Thomas Markle Sr and his son, Thomas Jr.
Thomas Markle Sr strenuously denied any wrongdoing, specifically in relation to the possession of child sexual abuse images.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, he declared: “I’m not a paedophile. I’ve never done anything bad to a child. Never.”
He dismissed the allegations as a “bunch of lies” and suggested he was being framed.
The investigation is ongoing; investigators have not established wrongdoing, and Mr Markle Sr. has not been charged.
