Man Utd XI:

Senne Lammens: Another of those games where everything is looking solid – until it isn’t. Massive error for Bournemouth’s third goal. 4

Leny Yoro: Vital clearance to deny Evanilson a tap-in. Had situation under control but then slipped to gift Bournemouth their second. 5

Harry Maguire: Regained the captain’s armband taken off him by Erik ten Hag. Blocked early Rayan chance and surged forward to try and create at the other end. 6

Ayden Heaven (off 64, Martinez): Some good moments and lots of promise but plenty being asked of the 20-year-old. Yellow card for jumping into a tackle Evanilson jumped out of the way of. Proved to be costly with the resulting free-kick leading to Bournemouth’s opener. 5

Diogo Dalot: Got forward well but shooting erratic and pass straight to Evanilson inside own half didn’t inspire confidence. Tried to rouse his team but didn’t have a lot of success. 5

Carlos Baleba (off, 72, Zirkzee): Not scared to take a risk despite the pressure his team are playing under. Does give United drive in central areas. 5

Andrey Santos: Tielemans’ poor control forced him into a rash tackle on Truffert that brought a yellow card. Not much of an impact. 4

Amad Diallo (off 78, Amad): Beautiful bit of skill took him past Truffert but seen too infrequently and passing not accurate enough. 4

Youri Tielemans (off 46, Cunha): Not secure enough in possession for the job Carrick wanted from him. Big disappointment. Off at half-time. 4

Mason Mount: Alternated positions with Tielemans and tried to get on the ball. Thought he was crossing for a team-mate and annoyed when no-one moved for it. 5

Bryan Mbeumo: Hardly in the game until released for shot late in first-half. Had another effort in second half. 6

Subs:

Matheus Cunha (on 46, Tielemans): Introduced at half-time and did manage a curling effort from edge of the area, which was off target. 6

Lisandro Martinez (on 64, Heaven): Nearly gave away a third goal, and nearly scored one at the other end. 6

Joshua Zirkzee (on 72, Baleba): Not even a consolation goal today. 5

Shea Lacey (on 78, Amad): 5

Subs not used: Darlow, Mazraoui, De Ligt, Fernandes, T Fletcher.
