Drivers are being warned of several vital car recall notices for popular models, which could result in serious consequences for drivers and passengers.

The likes of Hyundai, Toyota and Jaguar Land Rover have all issued recalls for vehicles in recent weeks regarding car faults that could lead to fires and injuries.

GB News has rounded up the most important car recalls issued over recent weeks that motorists need to know about.

Hyundai

In new documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in the United States, Hyundai has announced that it will recall 94,622 vehicles.

Owners of certain 2015-2016 Hyundai Genesis and 2017-2020 Genesis G80 vehicles are being told to park outside.

The front power seat motors may overheat due to a stuck power seat control switch, which can result in a fire while parked or driving.

Prolonged motor operation over time may result in overheating, thereby increasing the risk of a vehicle fire while driving or parked.

A remedy is currently under development, with owner notification letters expected to be mailed in early December.

Owners have been told to park their vehicles outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the repair has been performed.

Dealers are not allowed to deliver new vehicles for sale or for lease to customers until all open recalls have been performed.

They must also perform all open recalls on used vehicles, demo, and rental vehicles prior to placing them into customer use.

Jaguar Land Rover

Just under 94,000 Land Rover Range Rover (2022-2026) vehicles are being recalled as water may damage the rearview camera.

Water may not be able to drain away from the rearview camera due to insufficient drain holes, which may result in damage to the rearview camera.

Given that the image may not display, the driver’s view behind the vehicle can be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will drill additional drain holes in the underside of the tailgate trim and inspect and replace the rearview camera as necessary.

Toyota

More than 105,000 vehicles are being recalled by Toyota because the fuel tube connection near the fuel tank may disconnect and leak fuel.

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire in the Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid models (2024-2027).

Dealers will inspect the connection and install a supplemental clamp or, as necessary, replace the resin fuel tube and install a supplemental clamp.

Volvo

In the event of an accident, the head restraining cushion may detach, increasing the risk of injury to occupants of the vehicle.

The US division of the Swedish manufacturer said it would recall 9,930 EX30 (2025-2026) and EX30CC (2026) models.

To remedy the issue, dealers will apply an adhesive to reinforce the head cushion attachment for free.
