Tickets for the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 went on general sale today, marking a landmark moment for the international adaptive sporting competition as it prepares to return to British soil for the first time in over a decade.

Prince Harry established the Games in 2014, and next summer’s edition will be the first hosted in the UK since that inaugural event.

The competition runs from July 10 to 17, 2027, with 550 wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans representing 25 nations across 12 adaptive sports.

Prices begin at £10, with multiple ticket options designed to let spectators tailor their experience across the week-long programme.

Three categories of tickets are on offer. Festival Passes, starting at £10 for adults, grant all-day entry to the Invictus Festival site at the NEC. Sports Session Tickets, priced from £15, cover admission to a particular competition along with same-day access to the Festival site.

Those wishing to attend the Opening or Closing Ceremony can purchase Ceremony Tickets from £27.

Concession rates are also available across all ticket types, making the event an affordable option for a wide range of spectators.

Organisers say the tiered structure is intended to give attendees flexibility to shape their own experience throughout the week.

The NEC serves as the central hub for Birmingham 2027, housing ceremonies, sporting competitions, a research conference, festival activities and competitor accommodation on a single integrated site. Swimming events will be held at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre.

Around 150,000 supporters are expected to attend events across the city over the course of the week.

Beyond the sporting programme, the Games’ Impact Programme aims to deliver recovery opportunities for more than 1,500 wounded, injured and sick personnel and their families.

Birmingham and the wider West Midlands region are also set to benefit through job creation, skills development and community engagement initiatives linked to the event.

LATEST ROYAL DEVELOPMENTS:

Before today’s general sale, exclusive early access was offered to West Midlands residents, members of the Armed Forces community, including serving personnel, veterans, Reservists, Cadets and MOD civil servants, as well as those registered as Birmingham 2027 Community members.

Disabled spectators can access tailored ticketing support through a partnership with Nimbus Disability, ensuring they are able to purchase tickets with confidence.

Prospective attendees are urged to book promptly to secure their preferred sports sessions and ceremony dates. Tickets can be purchased at invictusgames.seetickets.com.

Seven editions of the Games have now taken place since 2014, involving more than 3,000 competitors from 25 nations.
