Other social media users shared their enthusiasm, commenting: “Ohhh that looks good,” “We need this,” and “Might need to give this one a bash”. More shoppers tagged their loved ones, with one urging their friend to “keep an eye out”.

Some customers questioned its affordability against other supermarkets’ versions. Asda’s Merry Munch Mix is available now, both in stores and online, and costs £3.35 for a 330g pouch. This is more than 50 per cent cheaper than the Marks & Spencer Very Merry Munch Mix 460g refill bag, which costs £7.

However, the price per weight shows a different story. Asda’s works out at £11.17/kg, compared to Marks & Spencer’s, which is £15.22/kg. This means Asda shoppers can save 26 per cent when purchasing their version.

Aldi also has a version; its Christmas Munch Mix Bag refill pack, costing £2.29. It is slightly more expensive than Asda’s overall, at £13.10/kg.

Whether it’s a cosy Christmas film marathon, a relaxed evening in, or a festive get-together with friends and family, this mix is shaping up to be a go-to treat for the season, and each bag serves 12.
