Another described being left stranded overseas: “I’m in Greece on holiday. Revolut not working on three accounts.”

One user posting on Downdetector captured the extent of the failure: “Absolutely nothing on the app is working today, chat is not working, support call is not working, unable to transfer money or make a payment… In the meantime Revolut website says everything is fine.”

Despite the widespread problems, Revolut’s own system status page continued to list all services as “operational” throughout the morning.

Hundreds of Lloyds Bank and HSBC customers also flagged problems on Downdetector as the morning wore on.

Users took to social media to voice their frustration, with one Lloyds customer writing on X: “Hey, online banking is down. Yet again. If you’re gonna do changes to login procedures, can one of those changes be ‘let me login’?”

Another replied: “Not just you! I’ve been trying to access my account for the last 30 minutes.”
