Tottenham striker Omar Marmoush has been fined after his McLaren supercar was found to be uninsured and not declared off the road.
The 27-year-old, who joined Spurs on loan from Manchester City in August, was found guilty at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on 5 October.
He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £100 in costs and an £88 victim surcharge, according to the Press Association (PA).
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) brought the prosecution after Marmoush failed to pay a fixed penalty issued in June.
Court papers show the footballer was issued with the penalty on 17 June after officials discovered his McLaren 720S, worth an estimated £250,000, was uninsured and had not been declared off the road.
The DVLA attempted to contact Marmoush at an apartment in Manchester city centre where he had been living before his move to London.
The case was dealt with under the Single Justice Procedure, which allows magistrates to deal with certain criminal cases behind closed doors without a conventional court hearing.
Marmoush did not enter a plea or respond to the papers sent to him by the DVLA.
Marmoush’s move to Tottenham, announced at the end of August, includes an obligation for the club to buy him for £60m at the end of the season.
The Egyptian player was part of his country’s World Cup squad this summer; he scored 10 goals for Manchester City after joining the club in January 2025.
