Three sisters who drowned off Brighton Beach died in a suicide pact after visiting a lake where their mother took her own life in 2010.

The bodies of Jane Adetoro, 36, Christina Walters, 32 and Rebecca Walters, 31, were recovered from the sea after emergency services were summoned to the scene on May 13.

Now, an inquest into their deaths have shown that the trio travelled from London to Birmingham the day before they died.

While in Birmingham, the sisters visited their mother’s grave after she died by suicide at Brookvale Lake 16 years ago.

They had taken a taxi to Birmingham, and were dropped off near their mother’s old house on May 11.

The next day, they were driven back to the capital before travelling to Brighton that same evening, the inquest heard.

The women then arrived at the coastal city around 10.20pm later that night.
