The body of a man has been found next to the River Irwell in Salford.
Greater Manchester Police were called at about 06:46 BST following a report concerning the man’s welfare.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the force said.
A spokesperson said there was nothing to suggest anything suspicious at this time.
