Bentley has officially unveiled its first electric vehicle – the Torcal – with an impressive 375-mile battery range and unique design language.
The electric Bentley Torcal has been touted as “one of the most significant” new Bentley models in the brand’s 107-year history.
Bentley has unveiled the Torcal as the template for all future models, having been designed, engineered and built at the brand’s Crewe factory.
The iconic British marque said the launch and development of the Torcal represented a “significant investment in British manufacturing”.
The Torcal contains the highest torque of any Bentley ever produced at 1,350 Nm, in addition to 888 PS and an acceleration time from 0-60mph in just 2.8 seconds.
It will come equipped with an impressive 375-mile battery range, with rapid charging capabilities from 10 to 80 per cent in just 16 minutes.
Major design decisions have also been made, including Bentley’s most advanced chassis technology to date and a distinctive illuminated diamond grille.
The Torcal will also become the first Bentley to feature the automaker’s redesigned and modernised emblem announced last year.

A “human-generated soundtrack” has been created to mimic sounds created by Bentley’s iconic V8 engine for the electric model, from resting pulse to full-throttle acceleration.
The Torcal will launch two distinct models, namely the core electric car and a more sporting S variant, with differences in acceleration, top speed, PS and torque.
