The Daily Mail describes, external the story as a “royal sensation”. Devoting its first seven pages to the news, the Sun speculates, external that the King may welcome them back, but Prince William will not be so forgiving.

The Daily Express paraphrases, external Home Office guidance for asylum seekers on how to behave as “Don’t rape or beat up women when in Britain”. That such matters have to be spelt out has been branded “insane”, according to the Mail. “Families daring to protest about the arrival of young migrant men in their communities have been branded bigots”, notes the Sun, external, which argues that while it might be uncomfortable to acknowledge, “not all foreign cultures match British laws”.

As hundreds of thousands of teenagers wait for their GCSE results, the Times says, external Education Secretary Lucy Powell has pledged to crack down on what she has described as the “pernicious” system of English and Maths resits for those who do not achieve a grade of at least four. She has told the paper she wants to replace what she called the “conveyor belt” of resits, with new stepping stone qualifications to demonstrate numeracy and literacy.

Under the headline “picture perfect,” the Daily Mirror, external remembers its sports photographer Albert Cooper, who has died at the age of 90.
