A man who was stabbed to death in a park was “loved and respected”, his family have said.
Zherko Rasul Osman, 24, suffered serious stab wounds on Chapel Street in the Levenshulme area of Manchester just after 19:00 BST on Saturday and died at the scene, Greater Manchester Police said.
A 23-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday, remains in custody.
In a tribute, Osman’s brother described him as “a kind, friendly and loving person who never looked for trouble or wanted to harm anyone”.
“He was loved and respected by his friends, his mates and the neighbours in the community where he lived,” he said.
“He had a good heart and would always be remembered for the warmth and happiness he brought to those around him.
“His life was taken so suddenly and for no reason, leaving a pain and emptiness that words cannot describe.”
