Prince Harry and Meghan are intent on increasing their trips to Britain to spend time with King Charles, according to a royal commentator.
Harry’s most recent visit to Britain last month was not without friction.
His team initially announced he would be staying at Buckingham Palace after receiving a royal invitation, but the Palace subsequently responded that the Duke had confirmed too late and would no longer be accommodated there.
Speaking to GB News, Richard Fitzwilliams said: “Their plan is undoubtedly to see more of Britain, to come over more often and see more of the King.”

He noted that the couple have long been pushing for the monarch to appear at next year’s Invictus Games in Birmingham, adding: “The Sussexes have been aiming for King Charles to attend for a long time.”
However, Mr Fitzwilliams struck a cautious tone, warning: “The plan is one thing, the execution is another.”
The King’s desire to see his grandchildren remains a key factor, though Mr Fitzwilliams conceded “it is unclear how that will be managed.”
Meghan did not accompany her husband to any of his public engagements during the trip, with persistent security concerns cited as the reason for her absence.
Harry has yet to achieve any progress on securing enhanced protection in the UK, having previously lost a legal challenge against the Home Office over his security arrangements.

Despite these difficulties, the visit did produce a significant personal milestone. Charles was reunited with Archie and Lilibet for the first time in four years.
Both Meghan and Queen Camilla were present for the family gathering, though no details of the discussions have been disclosed.
Prince Harry established the Invictus Games back in 2014 as a competition for wounded military personnel and veterans, during his time as a working royal.

Birmingham will host the 2027 edition from July 10 to 17, marking the first time the Games have taken place on British soil since their debut over a decade ago.
Sources close to Harry have acknowledged he would welcome the King’s presence, with the opening ceremony on July 10 seen as the likeliest occasion for father and son to appear together publicly.
A significant scheduling complication looms, however. Queen Camilla’s 80th birthday falls on July 17, the same date as the closing ceremony, making it virtually certain that no senior royals will attend the final event.
Harry’s security situation remains in flux, with a newly commissioned government threat assessment currently under way.
Until that review concludes, the Duke is required to provide 30 days’ advance notice before any trip to Britain, allowing his protection needs to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Whether Meghan joins him at the Birmingham Games will ultimately hinge on whether the couple deem the available security measures adequate.
She has been a regular presence at Invictus events worldwide and is expected to want to be there.
Before Birmingham, Harry is likely to return to London in September for the annual WellChild Awards, an engagement he attends each year. He is not anticipated to be accompanied by Meghan or the children on that occasion.
