Queen Letizia delivered a showstopping fashion moment at the weekend’s closing gala of the 16th Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest, one of Spain’s most prominent cinema celebrations.

The 53-year-old Spanish Queen turned heads in a bold red Carolina Herrera gown featuring an asymmetric design, reinforcing her reputation as one of Europe’s best-dressed royals.

The sleeveless silhouette put her notably toned arms on full display, while her brunette hair fell in sleek, polished waves.

She attended the Majorca event to present the prestigious Master of Cinema Award to the celebrated French composer Alexandre Desplat.

The Carolina Herrera piece was crafted from Rioja-red jersey fabric, draping elegantly from a single shoulder to create a figure-defining effect.

Delicate ruching along the side accentuated the silhouette, while a striking gold zipper running down one edge offered a flash of leg, adding a daring edge to the otherwise classic design.

Originally retailing at £1,800, the dress has since been reduced to £885, making it a relative bargain by luxury fashion standards.

The rich, jewel-toned hue served as the centrepiece of her ensemble, with the Queen opting for a soft bronze eye and glossy nude lip to let the gown command attention.

Her accessories were a carefully curated mix of new acquisitions and a trusted favourite.

The Spanish Queen debuted a gold-plated brass evening clutch from Begüm Khan, the Turkish luxury jewellery and accessories label, lending a sculptural metallic accent to the look.

She paired this with beige Gucci Signora Slide Sandals priced at £690, their gold hardware complementing the dress’s zipper detail.

The sole returning piece in the outfit was her Isabel Guarch ‘Palma’ earrings, valued at €1,280.99 (approximately £1,098), whose delicate gold design provided an understated finishing touch to an otherwise entirely fresh ensemble.

The evening’s centrepiece was the presentation of the Master of Cinema Award to Alexandre Desplat, honouring the French composer’s exceptional contributions to film.

Following the ceremony, Letizia herself received a commemorative sculpture, posing on stage with the turquoise trophy.

Among the high-profile attendees were Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem and actress Victoria Luengo, both present for the Spanish premiere of Rodrigo Sorogoyen’s latest feature, El ser querido.
