The Princess of Wales has shared her appreciation for this year’s Wimbledon Championships through social media, describing the tournament as a “remarkable” fortnight of tennis.
Catherine attended the All England Club throughout the two-week event, taking on a central role during finals weekend in her capacity as patron.
She was joined in the stands by Prince William and their two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, for both the women’s and men’s title matches.
Beyond watching the action unfold, the princess also fulfilled her ceremonial duties by presenting trophies to each finalist following their respective matches.

The princess’s Instagram tribute featured a collection of images documenting her Wimbledon experience. Photographs showed Catherine walking alongside her family, handing the championship trophy to Italian victor Jannik Sinner, and presenting Czech player Linda Noskova with her winner’s plate following the 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 triumph over compatriot Karolina Muchova.
Additional shots captured the princess presenting Muchova with the runner-up dish, greeting Sinner privately in the clubhouse, and meeting ball boys, girls and ground staff.
However, men’s finalist Alexander Zverev was absent from the visual tribute, despite the German having lost a closely contested four-set final to Sinner 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4.
The omission may sting particularly for Zverev, who delivered a tribute to the Royal Box during his runner-up speech.
Champion Sinner, meanwhile, enjoyed a private audience with the Royal Family in the clubhouse after securing his victory.

The French Open champion addressed Prince William directly, expressing his gratitude for the unique atmosphere created by royal attendance.
“One more thing, it is very special playing on this Centre Court, and it is because of the Royal Box as well,” Zverev said, turning towards the royal party. “The amount of special people I see for every single match, especially the final, it is an honour to play in front of you, your Royal Highness and everybody.”
He described Centre Court as “the most unique court in the whole world” and called performing there “a massive honour.”
Champion Sinner, meanwhile, enjoyed a private audience with the Royal Family in the clubhouse after securing his victory.
The champion also revealed he had enquired whether the young royals still played tennis themselves.

The Italian spoke warmly about the encounter during his post-match press conference.
“I have so much respect,” Sinner remarked. “You can really see that they love this sport.”
He expressed appreciation for the family’s dedication, noting that they remained courtside for four hours despite the heat.
The champion also revealed he had enquired whether the young royals still played tennis themselves.
“They’re very happy. Yes they do,” he said. “We had a very very small conversation, but I love it that they also take time to talk with me.”
